Paul Tobin
Paul Tobin was raised in rural New Zealand. He applied for Wellington Polytechnic's School of Design 3 yr program and was rejected twice. He was also rejected by Christchurch Polytechnic at the same time which led him to doing volunteer archaeology and travelling the world whenever possible. This lasted for a little under 4 years when Paul came back to art. After developing his skills further, Paul Tobin landed a job at Weta Workshop and has since then worked on films like Avatar, Ghost in the Shell, Hercules, Hobbit trilogy, The Adventures of Tintin, Chronicles of Narnia, King Kong and many more. It just shows again that hard work, dedication and constant learning can get you far in life and many of the detours along the way often becomes our advantage later on. Please enjoy the interview.
