Meet Schoolism’s newest instructor, Alessandra Sorrentino! Alessandra is a story artist and 2D animator, born and raised in Turin, Italy and living in New York City. She is currently working at Pixar Animation Studios and has previously worked with such clients as Netflix, Blue Sky, Cartoon Network, Cartoon Saloon, Studio Aka, Disney, Nickelodeon, and more. Alessandra has had the pleasure of working on several Oscar-nominated feature films including “The Secret of Kells,” “Song of the Sea,” “The Breadwinner,” and “Wolfwalkers,” as well as other projects like “Gravity Falls,” “Ron’s Gone Wrong,” and “DuckTales.” In this interview, Alessandra chats with Bobby about her brand-new Schoolism course and what students can expect, her experience working at different studios, advice for artists on how to handle rigorous interview processes, experiencing self-doubt, the hardest thing to do right when creating a story, and much more!
